Accessibility Declaration

1. Conformance Status

Prismio is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. This declaration applies to our QR code management platform and web-based SaaS services in accordance with the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG), which became effective on June 28, 2025.

Current Status: Partially Conformant - We are actively working to achieve full WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance as required by BFSG. Some accessibility features are still under development following the law's implementation.

  • Responsive Design: Platform adapts to various screen sizes and devices
  • Color Contrast: Dark blue and high-contrast color scheme (partial compliance)
  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy using h1-h6 elements
  • Modern CSS: Uses CSS Grid and Flexbox for consistent layouts
  • TypeScript: Type-safe development for better code quality
  • No Flash Content: All content uses modern web standards

Note: The following features are being implemented to achieve BFSG compliance:

Target Accessibility Standards

  • Minimum 44px touch target size for mobile interfaces
  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA color contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text)
  • Multiple navigation methods and clear page structure
  • Time limits with extension options where applicable
  • Error prevention and clear error messages

3. Current Accessibility Limitations

As we work toward BFSG compliance by June 28, 2025, the following accessibility limitations are currently present on our platform:

Critical Issues (Priority 1)

  • Missing ARIA Labels: Interactive elements lack proper ARIA attributes
  • No Alternative Text: Images and QR codes missing alt descriptions
  • Keyboard Navigation: Limited keyboard-only navigation support
  • Focus Management: Inconsistent focus indicators and management

Functional Issues (Priority 2)

  • Screen reader compatibility not fully tested or optimized
  • Form validation errors may not be properly announced
  • Complex data tables lack accessibility markup
  • Modal dialogs and overlays need accessibility improvements

Feature-Specific Limitations

  • QR code creation and parameter configuration interfaces need enhanced keyboard navigation
  • Bulk QR code import/export operations have limited accessibility support
  • Dashboard analytics and scan statistics visualizations need alternative text descriptions
  • Team workspace collaboration features lack accessibility annotations
  • QR code template management interface requires ARIA label improvements

BFSG Compliance Progress: Since BFSG became effective in June 2025, we are actively working to achieve full compliance by December 2025. Priority fixes are being implemented in order of impact on user accessibility.
